Full address and directions
EDF 13, Calle Extremadura, UD4-D4; Roque Del Conde IV; Torviscas Alto, Adeje, 38660, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain
From the Airport take the TF-1 motorway west towards Adeje. Stay on for c15 mins. Take exit 76 adjacent to the neon green Sur X Supermarket complex. Head around the roundabout and up the hill to another roundabout and drive under the archway to enter the Roque del Conde urbanisation. Drive up the hill to another roundabout, with a small convenience shop on its corner. Drive up the last hill until you get to the garage entrance on the left to blocks E and D of 13 Calle Extremadura. The garage entrance and walkway to the house are opposite the Aroma Peruvian restaurant.
Entry and exit
There are two modes of entry:
Through the front door - through the garden gate, the security gate and then the front door - all accessed by the CEX key
Through the garage, using the bleeper fob (top right button)
security cameras
There are Ring Security Cameras throughout the house. These are controlled by me on the Ring App.
They will be turned off during your stay and for peace of mind, you can cover their lenses by rotating their in-built covers although please remember to uncover them on check out so they will have vision when I turn them back on remotely.
Transport Links
You really need to rent a car to enjoy the property. It’s up a steep hill from the coast and amenities
Parking
There are three parking options:
Inside the garage, although then it can’t be used as a gym
On the outside of the indent of the garage door; this is a tight squeeze and requires careful parking but is where most people park
On a nearby road - there are no parking restrictions. It’s the easiest option if you are renting a car which has an insurance excess
Emergencies
Locations for shut off of services are as follows:
Cold water shut off - ground floor of the communal building, to the right of the lift. Use communal key FB2 (on a big bunch, top row, on the keyboard behind the door to the office to open). The stop cock is labelled 34PC - turn the blue knob
Electrical Fuseboard - inside the cupboard in the hallway of the flat
In the event of fire, call 999 and vacate the building

HEATING, cooling & hot water
Heating - there is little need for space heating. The temperature in Tenerife rarely dips below 20 degrees. However, if needs be the Aircon can be set to heating mode (circular target icon). I also plan to buy a little foot heater. Plus there are a couple of blankets
Cooling - the aircon is pre-set to cooling (ice symbol) and will chill the two bedrooms and lounge to 18 degrees. Point the remote control at the sensor of each room, holding it for a second or two and hear two bleeps - the aircon should fire up in 10 seconds or so, and you will see the vents open up. Control the strength of cooling by adjusting the strength of the fan
Hot Water - the hot water cylinder is in the garage and simply needs to be turned on to heat the tank of water. The tank takes about two hours to heat up from cold and provides enough hot water for two 10 minute showers. The water stays hot in the tank for over 24 hours. I have bought a timer switch but this seems to trip the electrics
Wifi
4D - the Jazztel router is next to the TV in the lounge
